Santa's coming!

It's looking very festive at home. The tree and lights are all up and I love playing with the baubles. Theres more baubles decorating the floor than the tree at the end of each day - Mummy has to put them all back each night! I'm really looking forward to Christmas at Grandmas and Grandpas and I'm also looking forward to my Christmas party at nursery next week - I think I heard a rumour that Santa might be making a guest appearance.
I hope you all have a lovely Christmas and I'll see you in the New Year!

Fight Club

It's not how it looks! I wasn't fighting -promise! I was just standing up for myself when one of the other kids at Nursery tried to take a book off me before I'd finished with it and the corner scratched me. (It's OK we're still friends!) It hasn't put me off reading though, its my favourite thing at the moment. I love sitting with Mummy and Daddy and looking through my books - I love reading so much that it's not unusual for me to get Mummy and Daddy to read the same book up to 10 times in a row in one go!

Bonjour!

I've just had a really nice mini-break to France with Mummy and Daddy. It was my first trip abroad - luckily I got my passport on time as Mummy and Daddy completely forgot that I'd need one! Phew! We went over on the ferry which was very cool and I enjoyed seeing all the seagulls - quack! ( I like to call out quack, quack whenever I see any birds, not just ducks - they all look the same to me!) We rented a lovely cottage in a very peaceful village and we spent our time visiting different towns and beaches - my favourite was the beach and carousel ride at Le Touquet. I'm looking forward to more trips to France as travelling by ferry was very comfortable and hassle free for us all - I don't think Mummy and Daddy are quite ready to take me on a plane just yet!

Holiday!

Sorry it's been a while! I'm just settling back into nursery after having a lovely holiday in the west country. We spent a week in Bridgy and had some lovely days out in Bath and Lyme Regis. I really enjoyed spending time on the beach and crawling over the pebbles. Daddy took me down to the sea but he didn't notice a big wave that was coming in and he ended up with wet shoes -oops! Bath was lovely too - we had a look around the roman baths and did a bit of shopping, I got some new jeans from Gap. My current ones are getting a bit snug around my ever expanding waistline!

While we were away my walking has really come on in leaps and bounds - quite literally. I'm so confident on my feet now that it was no problem for me to walk around the garden with Grandpa and Grandma.

Just before we went on holiday, Daddy took me and Mummy to a James Lavelle exhibition in Mayfair - it was nice to see that Daddy isn't the only one that likes to hang pictures up at home. This guy, James, had loads of prints hanging up in a really posh gallery. After the gallery we all went to Scooterworks for milk and coffee for the grown-ups - looking around galleries is thirsty work. Jason Bourne was filmed there in the last Bourne movie - my claim to fame!

Swings and Roundabouts

I had my first experience on the swings at the weekend - I felt a little bit uneasy as you can probably see from the photos. I preferred it on the roundabout but couldn't keep Daddy on for very long as he was getting dizzy! Mummy wouldn't let me try the slide as it was a big slide and she's a bit over-protective at the moment after my recent accident - I don't think she could cope with anymore cuts and bruises just yet.

A&E!

I gave Mummy and Daddy a bit of a scare the other day. I fell and cut my head whilst at Granny and Grandads house. There was so much blood that Mummy was in such a panic and rushed me down to A&E. Luckily the doctors said I was fine and just cleaned me up and used some special hospital glue to stick my cut together. I think the sight of the blood made it look worse than it was - to be honest I cried a bit but wasn't really as shaken up as Mummy was - women eh!

I've now made a full recovery and was even able to take Mummy out for her birthday the very next day.

I've been getting very confident on my feet lately - I'm not quite walking yet but I reckon I will be soon. I'm getting around well with my walker and can now stand without holding on to anything - all I have to do next is put one foot in front the other! I think Mummy and Daddy will be pleased as they won't have to carry me around much longer- I really am too heavy these days!

Splish Splash at Tooting Lido

What a fab place Tooting Bec lido is - we had a really great time and I had a good splash around in the kiddie pool - the water was a bit chilly at first and it startled me a bit but I soon got used to it. Mummy managed to get a few snaps before the lifeguard told her that taking photos wasn't allowed. How times have changed from when Mummy and Daddy were my age - well that was a very long time ago!

burp!

En route to Jerrys BBQ - one Bud down!

Poorly!

I was very poorly a few weeks ago - I had the biggest baddest cold which then caused me to get conjunctivitis. Mummy had to give me special eyedrops which were not very nice and I tried to wriggle and scream as much as I could so she wouldn't give them to me, but somehow she always managed to get them in - Mummy power I guess.
Mummy and Daddy had to pick me up early from Nursery on the first day that Daddy came back from the Tour de France - it wasn't a very nice welcome home present for him seeing me so poorly! We did have fun though before he went away as I helped Daddy try out his tent in the garden.

Grandma and Grandpa came to stay with us to help Mummy out whilst Daddy was away - we all went shopping and I had my first trip in a black taxi - I really enjoyed it!

Fun in the Sun!

What great weather we've been having - hope you're enjoying it as much as me! Mummy and Daddy took me to Tooting Common to play with my new tunnel from Ikea. They thought it would be good for me to have lots of space to crawl around as usually in our garden I crawl off the rug and head straight for the borders where I get very dirty! But at the Common even with all that nice grassy space, I stayed put on the rug the whole time - typical!

New Shoes!

Mummy and Daddy took me shopping for my first shoes. We went to Clarks where we received really good customer service. The friendly shoe fitter measured me up and got me to try a pair on. It was all a bit new to me and I didn't really know what was going on. I kept scrunching up my toes which made it tricky to check if the shoes were the right fit. I relaxed a little bit after wearing them for a while and I even had my photo taken! It felt like a really special event and Mummy and Daddy were happy too as my shoes were in the sale!

Come On England!!!

The country is in World Cup fever and England play Germany tomorrow in the final 16 of the World Cup! They very nearly didn't make it - I hope they play their best tomorrow and knock Germany out (and Rooney starts to earn his wages!)- fingers crossed!

I had to have my booster immunisations this week too - I was very good and only cried a little bit, it was all over so quickly! I have to have my MMR jab in a few weeks so not looking forward to that - but after that one I'm free from needles until my next round of immunisations before school.

I've also started to pull myself up and I'm able to stand up by holding onto the furniture - it's fun being able to reach all those things that I couldn't get to before! Mummy and Daddy really do need eyes in the back of their head as I'm up to all sorts of mischief these days!

My teeth are finally coming through now - I've got 4 at the top and 1 bottom tooth, I'm beginning to look a bit goofy now!

Happy Birthday to Me!!

BIRTHDAY BOY!

I've just celebrated my 1st birthday - not once but twice, just like the Queen! For my actual birthday Mummy and Daddy took me to the Aquarium and then Paulie and Bronwyn came over for tea and cake. Later on in the week we all went to Somerset and I had a joint birthday celebration with Grandpa and had more cake and balloons! I got lots of pressies - I was completely spoilt! It was a nice sunny weekend and I spent most of my time outside crawling around in the garden and pulling up Grandpa's geraniums. Gardens in Somerset are much bigger than our garden so I was always very tired after my day of crawling around and exploring. I might have to think about getting some wheels soon when I get more stronger on my feet!
We all had lots of fun on my birthday - It was a fond farewell to my baby days and a chance for Mummy and Daddy to reminisce and look forward to all the new adventures that we'll have in the future. Baby Milo has now grown up into Little Milo!

51 weeks old

Phew! What a busy week!!! I've started my full days at Nursery as Mummy's now returned back to work. I'm there for 3 days 8am-6pm - long days! Our routine has changed hugely for all of us so it was quite hard work and very tiring to settle into. I'm sure as time goes by we'll get into the swing of it and it'll get easier. Mummy has to leave early so it's up to Daddy to get me up and changed and give me my morning milk. Then he drops me off at nursery in time for my breakfast. Mummy has the best bit of picking me up in the evenings. I'm so tired by then that all I'm ready for is my bath and bed! I think Mummy's ready for her bed too!

Nursery is good fun - there's lots to do and as the weather's been nice I've been outside alot playing with the water and sand pit. I'm in a bit of a mess by the end of the day!

I also had my first haircut which Granny did for me - no more long messy hair getting in my eyes - so I was very smart for my first day at Nursery.

My new obsession - I like the spin cycle the best!

49/50 weeks old

The last few weeks were spent trying out my new nursery. I had a few settling in sessions to see how I would get on. The idea was for Mummy to stay with me just in case I needed her. Well, I enjoyed myself so much and was so busy making friends and investigating all the new toys that I think Mummy felt a bit in the way! So she left me on my own most of the time as she didn't want to cramp my style! It was fun - I think I'm going to really enjoy going to nursery!

I'm properly crawling now - a real little sprinter! Not only do I not stay in the same place for long I can't even stay in the same room for very long! Nappy changes and bathtime can sometimes become an olympic event! I think Mummy gets just as exhausted as me by the end of the day.

Uncle Breezy came back from his holidays in New York. He brought me back a fab New York Yankees baseball outfit - AWESOME as the americans would say!
Hope you can see the 2 videos below showing my crawling skills.....

Grandma and Grandpa came to see me this week. They were a big help to Mummy and Daddy as we had workmen in the house so they helped to look after me whilst the workmen made alot of mess! They also babysat so that Mummy and Daddy could go out for Paulies 40th birthday bash! Its just as well that I didn't wait up for them - they didn't come home til 3 in the morning!

It was also the election this week which is where some men in suits have a competition to see who will make all the rules and decisions to run the country, so it was very important for all grown-ups to vote - I really hope that whoever wins doesn't take away my child trust fund or any of the surestart childrens centres that run our parent and toddler group!

I went to Harrods this week with Mummy and Daddy and we went to 'Mo's Diner', an american themed restaurant. I wasn't allowed burgers but I did nibble on a few of Mummys fries!

Enjoying the gorgeous weather! Factor 50 and sunhat compulsory!

44 weeks old

I was weighed this week and I'm now 21lbs! I'm a really healthy weight now and Mummy was reminiscing about how she used to worry when I was very little and not putting on much weight - I'm really making up for it now! I need to be big and strong as I'm getting more and more active every day - I've now worked out how to crawl a bit on my hands and knees but I still do alot of commando crawling on my tummy - Mummy and Daddy said it's quite handy as I do a good job of polishing the floor!

I'm getting good at the backstroke!

Happy Easter! I got lots of Easter eggs which I think I might have to hide from Mummy and Daddy. I also got my first Easter bunny which is nearly bigger than me!

We spent the weekend in Bridgy with Grandma and Grandpa. They took me out for lunch one day - my first meal out! I also went to Burnham on sea and went shopping in Street. I was busy entertaining everyone too with my new moves - sort of crawling around on my tummy and bum shuffling. I never spend too long in the same place now!

I had to have another hearing test this week, which went ok but I have to go again in 6 months time for another one. Daddy took me to the clinic and Mummy went off to treat herself to a haircut. It's a bit harder for me to pull it now as it's alot shorter!

Now the weather has improved I've started swimming again. I even tried out the floats with Daddy - getting my practice in for when I start surfing!

Check me out holding my bottle on my own now -

9 months - wow! I'm getting such a big boy now - Mummys had to buy me some new clothes as I 'm growing out of my stuff so quickly - short arms and legs is not a good look! Now that Spring has finally arrived its time to start planning my Summer wardrobe!

It's been a quiet few weeks so not too much to report. Here are a few photos of me mooching around the house -
